eXceptional Solutions and U-folds in quantum GRAvity

Project description

Advanced tools to further understanding of fundamental symmetries in string and M-theory

String theory is the leading candidate for a consistent description of gravity at the quantum level. Our ability to advance understanding of string theory relies heavily on the development of advanced solution generation techniques, as well as on our control of the intricate web of dual formulations of the theory and its low energy limits. Funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action programme, the X-SUGRA project will work on advanced theoretical tools that could capture the U-duality groups of the string and M-theory. The project will also develop cutting-edge solution generation techniques for both theories and for extended supergravities.
