Project description

English EN

Promoting circular bio-society in Central Europe

The Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) is the only industry-led European bioeconomy association pioneering investment and creating synergies for a sustainable European circular bioeconomy. It is working towards a vision of a future of informed citizens choosing a sustainable way of life, supporting an economy that couples economic growth with societal well-being and respect for the environment. Consortium activities are not balanced throughout Europe, especially in Central European countries. The EU-funded CELEBio project will boost bioeconomy-related activities in countries such as Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia. It will design and implement evidence-based Action Plans for each of the targeted countries. The project will also bring bioeconomy stakeholders from research and industry together.
