Project description
Building a home renovation service for all
Renovation and refurbishment of existing buildings – to create more space, reduce energy consumption, and preserve cultural heritage – is becoming more and more important these days, especially in urban areas. Some repair services are too costly for home owners to consider. The EU-funded HIROSS4all project will implement an integrated one-stop-shop home renovation service in the Basque Country in Spain. Coordinated by the Basque government, it will engage citizens and an innovative financial instrument to make the service suitable for vulnerable populations. The project will focus on energy efficient building upgrades and minimising logistical, financial, administrative, and legal burdens. It will also ensure building renovations improve quality of life in Basque Country and EU level.
