Project description
Support for energy efficiency in renovations
As the largest energy-consuming sector in the EU, buildings also offer the biggest cost-effective opportunity for savings. Installing newer energy efficiency technologies in older buildings reduces emissions and improves energy security. In this context, the EU-funded FinEERGo-Dom project will refine and implement guaranteed financing schemes for energy efficiency and renewable energy in deep renovations of buildings in five EU countries. The concept has been developed based on the Latvian Energy Efficiency Facility (LABEEF), a financial scheme for supporting energy efficiency and renewable energy in deep renovations of public and private buildings successfully implemented in Latvia. The types of buildings and infrastructure included in the project range from public to residential buildings.
