Project description
Extending the availability of EU-funded data beyond the fusion community
The increasingly collaborative nature of the European fusion community means that more experimental devices are available to larger groups of researchers. Although this device variety is a strong point, sharing data is a challenge. To make the most of investments in the research infrastructures to date, it is vital to open the data up and make them readily accessible throughout Europe. The EU-funded Fair4Fusion project will make these data more easily available for the fusion community, other science communities, funding bodies and citizens. To achieve its objective, the project will mainly deliver a reference architecture for an open data platform to demonstrate it and obtain feedback from current fusion users.
