Networking for excellence in functional pharmacology to study the role of fatty acid metabolism in neurological disorders

Project description

In pursuit of excellence and the study of fatty acids

The pursuit of research excellence and the scientific study of fatty acids is the two-pronged mission of the FAT4BRAIN project. Specifically, FAT4BRAIN will unravel the role of fatty acid metabolism in the development of neurological disorders via a multidisciplinary, functional pharmacology approach to promote cutting-edge research in this field. The work will be conducted through a collaborative partnership formed between the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis (LIOS) and world-leading partners – Uppsala University, Eberhard Karls University Tuebingen and Oroboros Instruments. LIOS will build research capacity via workshops, expert meetings and trainings for early-stage researchers. FAT4BRAIN will assist the Latvian institute boost its research profile.
