Opis projektu DEENESFRITPL Cypr uruchomił akcję poszukiwania talentów wśród czołowych naukowców Zamiarem Uniwersytetu Cypryjskiego jest stworzenie na swoim kampusie światowej klasy ośrodka badań dotyczących nauki i innowacji. W tym celu uruchomiony został finansowany przez UE projekt SInnoPSis, w ramach którego na uniwersytecie powstanie katedra EPB w dziedzinie polityki nauki i innowacji oraz badań (Science and Innovation Policy & Studies, SIPS). Głównym celem tego przedsięwzięcia jest przyciągnięcie i zatrzymanie najlepszych naukowców, którzy zasilą kadrę tej nowej interdyscyplinarnej jednostki badawczej i zapewnią maksymalne wykorzystanie potencjału badawczego uczelni. Prowadzone tam badania będą obejmować takie obszary jak nauka i innowacje, zwłaszcza w dziedzinie ekonomii i zarządzania, nauki społeczne i polityczne, filozofia oraz informacje i technologia. Kierownik katedry będzie pełnił także funkcję dyrektora ds. badań w nowej jednostce badawczej SIPS. Pokaż cel projektu Ukryj cel projektu Cel The ERA Chair in Science and Innovation Policy & Studies (SInnoPSis) aims to attract a high calibre academic in order to bring together excellent academics from the linked scientific departments and consolidate all related research activities at the University of Cyprus (UCY). This vision will be realised by attracting and maintaining an international calibre professor accompanied by a group of exceptional scientists in the field of Science and Innovation Policy and Studies (SIPS), coupled with the establishment of a multidisciplinary research unit which will allow optimal exploitation of the existing research capacity and infrastructures of UCY and facilitate the gradual upgrade of the research activities in the field. The principal thematic focus will be on the SIPS field, including all connected fields with emphasis on Economics & Management and secondarily Social and Political Sciences, Philosophy and Information Technology. The Chair will be the Research Director of the foreseen SIPS research unit having full autonomy in carrying out a research programme formulated by him/her a few months after the recruitment. This will enable the ERA-Chair team alongside scientists from linked departments of UCY whose expertise ranges in these fields to produce cutting-edge multidisciplinary research output and innovative educational and training programmes. The Chair will also create significant impact in Cyprus, by contributing with the expertise and research results of her/his group in advocating the Chief Scientist, the National Council of Research and Innovation and the Research Promotion Foundation in significant issues related to SIPS and the implementation of research and innovation policies in Cyprus. UCY will make all necessary arrangements and institutional changes needed to attract top scientists for the ERA Chair position and facilitate their scientific autonomy and optimal impact of their research.
