Project description

Software tools to increase innovation ability in SMEs

Research and innovation is crucial for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which represent 99 % of all business in the EU. The SMEs that invest in research and advanced technology increase their capacity and their position in the market. The Austrian research promotion agency (FFG) is a public funding agency that supports innovation. The EU-funded InnoCAP project is based on the ‘Impact Innovation’ programme promoted by FFG in 2017. The programme supports non-technical innovation projects of SMEs. Their main goal is to conduct an experimental pilot programme to evaluate if additional support actions based on software and guiding instruments increase innovation ability in SMEs. InnoCAP will focus on internal resources and team capacity.
