Towards a new framework for personalised interventions
Human history is marked by intergroup conflict. Reducing tensions between groups has to take into consideration a range of factors. Although psychologists develop interventions to reduce intergroup prejudice and promote intergroup reconciliation, little consideration is made for specific target populations. The EU-funded PerInterv project will develop an innovative framework for personalised intergroup interventions. It will consist of three main layers: personalisation parameters, the mechanisms connecting these parameters to concrete interventions, and the interventions to be tested. Two large-scale studies will be conducted against relevant personalisation parameters. The first will focus on Israeli-Palestinian conflicts and the second on immigrants in Europe. The project will conduct field interventions in the domains of education and social media.
