Institutional, BEhavioural, critical and adaptive economics towards SustaInable Development, management of natural capital and circular Economy

Project description

Environmental economics for sustainable development

The EU is fully committed to aligning policies and practices with the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Since its adoption in 2015, the EU has embarked on a transition towards a low-carbon, climate neutral, resource efficient and circular economy. The EU-funded BESIDE project will address questions regarding the financial impact of these environmental policies as well as related job opportunities and circular economy business models. The project will be structured around four pillars: institutional economics, behavioural economics, critical economics and adaptive economics. The ERA Chair will assume the role of coordinator researcher, fund five researchers and three PhD students and support training at MSc and PhD levels.
