Promoting international partnerships for Europe’s strong presence in quantum technologies
There has been significant international competition in quantum technologies in recent years. While Europe has world-leading researchers in all quantum science areas, the competition between private and public quantum technology companies worldwide should be considered. The EU-funded InCoQFlag project aims to provide a road map to international partnerships that the EU can use to set up advantageous partnerships with countries that are massively investing in quantum science and technologies. To this end, quantum standardisation, infrastructures and ingress protection issues will be assessed along with the need for an innovative framework to take advantage of quantum technologies. InCoQFlag will help to strengthen Europe’s position at an upper level, avoid brain drain and favour ingress protection to support EU countries’ economic growth.
