Project description
Training in the field of THz photonics
Thanks to state-of-the-art terahertz (THz) science and technology, photonic techniques today have enabled the ultra-high capacity wireless distribution and transmission of data using signals at millimetre-wave and THz frequencies, paving the way for novelty applications based on non-destructive evaluation in biomedical diagnosis, security, space technologies and wireless communications, to name but a few. To that end, the EU-funded TERAOPTICS project aims to train 15 new-generation early-stage researchers in the field of THz photonics. The training programme will offer inspiring research, intellectual, scientific and technical transferable skills, with the aim of creating an excellent, creative, internationally renowned, interdisciplinary and intersectoral network of academic and non-academic partners in a professional environment.
