Training network on antimony-based semiconductor materials
Research into the quantum physics and engineering of antimony (Sb)-based compound semiconductor (III-Sb) materials and devices is flourishing worldwide. However, their penetration into the electronic and optoelectronic markets is hampered by the inability to produce high-performance devices using III-Sb materials. Funded under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie programme, the QUANTIMONY project will provide high-level training to 14 early-stage researchers in the field of III-Sb semiconductor science and technology. The programme will cover all aspects of scientific and engineering training from modelling to material growth and characterisation, device fabrication and analysis, and industrial exploitation. The consortium is comprised of members from eight European countries, the United States of America, Taiwan and Brazil.
