Project description
Polish researchers take centre stage in southern cities
Researchers in Poland’s southern province of Małopolska will be in for a treat again! The 14th European Researchers' Night (ERN) will be held in eight cities in the province: Kraków, Tarnów, Nowy Sącz, Niepołomice, Oświęcim, Skawina, Chrzanów and Limanowa. The EU-funded Researchers4ECO project will help organise this event, which draws more than 1 000 people each year; the aim is to showcase scientific community and encourage the participation of the residents of various parts of the region as well as the whole country. Titled 'How do researchers change our world?', the event will feature interactive workshops, demos and experiments as well as meetings with researchers. Particular emphasis will be placed on the role of scientists in the fight against various environmental threats as well as against air pollution.
