Project description
Sustainable institutional changes to promote public engagement in science and technology
Citizen science - the participation of citizens in scientific research to increase scientific knowledge - has experienced growth and increased popularity in recent years, enabling the democratisation of science. The EU-funded TIME4CS project aims at supporting and facilitating sustainable institutional changes in research organisations to promote public engagement (citizens and citizens associations) and citizen science in science and technology. Focussing on four intervention areas and key features of institutional change, the project will create a knowledge transfer and mutual learning programme which will lead to the development of tailored roadmaps.
