Project description
Securing the future of the European public sector
Disruptive technologies (DTs) – those offering demonstrably superior solutions to existing issues – can greatly improve the efficiency of public services. Public services are one of the key components of developed nations, but they are often resistant to adopting DTs due to ethical, legal or societal concerns. The EU-funded ETAPAS project plans to build a framework and an assessment methodology to measure and mitigate ethical and legal risks connected to the adoption of DTs in the public sector. The goal is to allow the European public sector to make better use of new technologies and innovative solutions, improving operating efficiency, reducing management costs and increasing public trust and engagement
