SustainaBlE SoluTions FOR recycling of end of life Hydrogen technologies

Project description

A pathway to a low-carbon economy

Hydrogen technologies play a crucial role in the shift to a low-carbon economy. The recycling of end-of-life hydrogen technologies is key. In this context, the EU-funded BEST4Hy project will develop recycling solutions specifically for solid oxide fuel cell and proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell technologies. The aim is to facilitate the maximum recycling of critical raw materials. The output of the recycling technologies creates opportunities for both closed-loop and open-loop recycling. The project brings together a consortium inclusive of fuel cells and hydrogen device manufacturers, a leading recycling centre already aware of the market opportunities for PEM recycling, leading research organisations and innovation support specialists.
