Project description

Video games for skill development

VERSA is an EU-funded project within the SwafS-08-2020 programme. With electronics and the internet of things on the rise, people are exploring innovative ways to use them in education, and skills training and development programmes. VERSA aims to challenge preconceived methods of skills development by using a variety of commercially available and fun video games. The focus will be on training eight innovation-related skills: creativity, critical thinking, cognitive flexibility, time management, complex problem solving, judgement and decision-making, and goal setting. With this methodology and technology the project aims to modernise PhD programmes as well as prove that this novel methodology could be very beneficial for any PhD programme’s curriculum.
