NETCO-PD: 14 experienced researchers in network science for Europe

Project description

Training for future expertise in complex networks

In today’s societies and economies, everyday life increasingly depends on networks that support organised, efficient and reliable communication, transportation, finances and energy services. The role of these network infrastructures is constantly growing and skilled researchers who will be able to optimise the performance of those systems are urgently needed. With this in mind, the EU-funded NETCO-PD project will organise a 60-month-long interdisciplinary postdoctoral training programme for 14 talented researchers. They will gain scientific knowledge and professional skills in a complex area of networks, with the possibility of a career in or out of academia, while becoming Europe’s future leaders in the crucial area of networks.
