Project description
Evidence-based assessment to personalise therapy for mood disorders
Over 300 million people worldwide suffer from debilitating mood disorders (MDs) and 1 in 3 suffer from chronic disability despite the existence of psychological and psychopharmacological treatments. Studies show patients experiencing acute episodes are unlikely to recover functionally just by taking medication. Therefore, an increased understanding, better management, and improved effectiveness of MD psychotherapies are necessary. The EU-funded EBAP project will enable accurate diagnosis, better treatment matching, increased patient engagement, and enhanced treatment outcomes. It will achieve this through the implementation of evidence-based assessment (EBA) in the treatment for MD for an effective EBA approach for individual psychotherapy.
