Project description

Paving the way for scientific excellence

Digital twins, smart materials, data science, automation and robotics, as well as sustainability solutions for the road infrastructure industry will be the areas of focus of 27 fellowships offered through the EU’s FUTUREROADS programme hosted by the University of Cambridge. The overall aim of the programme is to provide fellows with the freedom to develop their own ideas with access to excellent facilities. The programme will work to enhance fellows’ understanding of the methodologies and approaches of other scientific disciplines at the highest level. By boosting researchers’ capabilities, the programme will contribute to the European goals of increasing the numbers of researchers with innovation skills in Europe.
