Data-driven, policy-informed teacher education materials
Ten months of ethnographic and participatory action research in middle schools in the Italian cities of Bolzano and Verona will result in data-driven recommendations for teachers. Once analysed, the data will benefit teachers throughout Europe via a sustainable open access online course. The overall objective of the EU-funded STEMCo project is to develop training materials for accommodating community multilingualism and individual plurilingualism in school communities throughout Europe. The findings will update the current picture of linguistic diversity in Italy and will leverage these findings to create positive change in schools and in teacher education.
