Innovative onshore and offshore electrolysis for green hydrogen

The EU hydrogen strategy aims to decarbonise hydrogen production and expand its use to replace fossil fuels. The EU-funded GreenHyScale project will prepare large-scale deployment of onshore and offshore electrolysis in line with the EU hydrogen strategy and offshore renewable energy strategy. The project will develop an innovative multi-MW alkaline electrolyser platform with factory assembled and pre-tested modules and demonstrate a 6 MW module as the first step in the project in the ideal environment of GreenLab Skive. GreenLab Skive is a symbiotic, industrial Power-to-X platform that distributes green electricity through its unique SymbiosisNet. The result will enable the GreenHyScale electrolysis plant to achieve above 90 % overall energy efficiency.
