Project description
Innovative tools for socially acceptable Extended Reality technologies
Today’s eXtended Reality (XR) technologies are innovative and functionally complex. Nevertheless, they should also provide an experience that satisfies the user and is transparent, safe, secure, explainable and trusted. However, current generations of XR systems lack to provide such an experience and fail to ensure full-fledged social acceptance. The EU-funded SERMAS project will develop innovative, formal and systematic methodologies and technologies to model, develop, analyse, test and user-study socially acceptable XR systems. The project will implement the SERMAS Toolkit, a set of methods and tools that will significantly simplify the design, development, deployment, and management of socially-acceptable XR systems and apply it to industrial case studies in real-world application scenarios.
