Project description
Tackling Europe’s hydropower challenges
As a clean and renewable energy source, hydropower can contribute to Europe’s successful energy transition. The Hydropower Europe Forum produced a Research and Innovation Agenda (RIA) and a Strategic Industry Roadmap (SIR) as part of its vision to develop hydropower in Europe. By forming links with national authorities, the EU-funded ETIP Hydropower project will incorporate the RIA and SIR into the European Strategic Energy Technology Plan for accelerating the deployment of green technologies. It will also combine its strong networks to form a sustainable organisation that serves both the hydropower and the entire renewable energy sector in contributing towards the European Green Deal.
