Project description
Researching and developing security solutions for 6G
As the successor to 5G cellular technology, the sixth-generation mobile system needs to provide stability and trustworthiness across a connected continuum of heterogeneous environments globally. Based on a combination of IT systems and networks, this will satisfy scenarios for future digital services. Unfortunately, this heterogeneity among networks creates security and privacy risks that, if not addressed, could create many issues. Yet, current security options lack optimisation for protecting large numbers of connected high-mobility heterogeneous devices. The EU-funded CONFIDENTIAL6G project will address this challenge by researching several useful technologies for data privacy and security, including but not limited to AI and post-quantum cryptography, followed by the development of promising security solutions.
