Properties of glazing materials with respect to daylighting applications

Objetivo

This proposal intends to allow the participation of two
laboratories from Slovenia and Romania in a European
campaign aimed at measuring optical properties of glazing
materials for daylighting applications (spectral and spatial characteristics).
The laboratories will contribute to the calibration and the
improvement of the measurement procedures. They will provide samples of attractive glazing techniques : low-e coatings,
absorbing low-e coatings, color films, multilayer coatings,
and various plastic materials used for window component (see proposal for details). They will also collect more standard
materials used in eastern and central European countries.
They will participate in the measurement campaign, provide
the data files for processing. In the document produced by
all partners, tables of results will be provided, with
measured parameters as well as parameters obtained by
processing of raw data (such as Color Rendering Indexes,
Shifts in Color Temperature or classification of
scattering).
The two laboratories will contribute to the production of
the final document and the data files.
Final product :
A document presenting the description of the tested
materials : presentation of the products, graphical display
of the spectral and spatial properties, table of parameters
including those obtained by modelling, examples of
applications in buildings.
