Objective The two proposers have a several years experience in the field of dosimetry and they intend to begin research on real time neutron dosimetry so that each of them would be the one staff working in this field in their respective country. Furthermore collaborations already exist between IRD (Prague), IFIN lab 7 (Bucarest) and LEPOFI (Limoges), SDOS-CEA (Fontenay-aux-Roses). In these conditions it will be easy to begin future work between the 7 participants in accordance with the work distribution already decided in the frame of the initial contact by the 5 participants. IRD will be involved in : - electronic device : transport codes which are available in IRD would permit to optimize converter (neutron energies below 2 MeV and energies higher than 20 MeV). The experience acquired in space dosimetry would permit to elaborate a new sensor for neutrons based on position sensitive device (CCD) combined with optimized convertors. - superheated drop detectors : use of experimental and theoretical microdosimetry analysis in order to predict the response to neutrons and to higher energy particles. - tests in various particle fields (JrNR Dubna) would permit to enlarge the possibilities of calibration tests to all participants. IFIN lab 7 will be involved in electronic dosemeter using a silicon PIN diode with further development : - use of a simplified low noise charge preamplifier and the study to match the diodec in order ot obtain the best signal/noise ratio. - study of the radiator's design (Monte-Carlo computer). - study of a small size moderator to extend the sensitivity for neutrons in the intermediate energy range.
