Obiettivo The Czech company EGU Prague is proposed to take part in the ELSAM APAS Clean Coal project of co-combustion of biomass and coal. EGU Prague is working in the research, development and engineering of power and heating supply systems. The participation of EGU consists of two main phases: 1) Sharing ELSAM experience with EGU as well as direct EGU participation in tests at Vestkraft and Grena power plants. 2) Combustion tests at a small scale (1-2 MW) Czech test plant of straw in combination with Czech lignite. The objectives of EGU for this project is to: * Collect information on co-combustion of coal and biomass. * Test co-combustion of straw and Czech lignite in a small scale test firing unit. * Present project results at a seminar and transfer their experiences in connection with projects in the Czech Republic.
