Vanadium derivates as transition state analogs in ribonucleases and as haptens for the production of antibodyenzymes (abysymes) with phosphatase activity

Objectif

The two fundamental goals of this project are:
- The further study of vanadate compounds mainly nucleotides as stable transition-state analogs for pentavalent phosphate
intermediates in reactions catalyzed by ribonuclease-T1. This involves mainly 51V-NMR and X-ray crystallography.
- The exploitation of this property of vanadate compounds to mimic transition state intermediates of phosphohydrolysis reactions, to use them, now as haptens for the production of antibodies with phosphohydrolytic capacity.
