Objetivo In the preparation and characterisation of catalysts, the main areas of expertise are hydrodesulphurization, selective oxidation, synthesis of ammoniac and methanol and acid catalysis. New methods have been developed for preparation of A1 pillared montmorillonite and the influence of phosphorus (P) on the acidity of A1 pillared montmorillonite has been determined. Physicochemical characterization is carried out by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), temperature programmed desorption (TPD), Bruhauer Emmet and Teller powder characterization (BET), etc. A new development is the contact synergynum mechanism. Oxide catalysts prepared and studied were molybdenum iron antimony (MoFeSb) based catalysts. In parallel, butene butadiene oxidation has been studied. New preparation and characterization techniques used in partial oxidation reaction studies have been developed.
