Creation of a third countries educational network for energy efficiency purposes

The aim of the project is the establishment of a network consisting of Institution from Third Countries and countries of Central and Eastern Europe specializing on Energy and Energy Efficiency. The proposed to-be-build-network with third countries and countries of central and eastern Europe will have as main tasks:
- to collect information(data) on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving from those countries from reliable sources.
- to process the collected data and develope high standard educational material and structure for dissemination of European know-how in Energy Efficiency.
- to promote Europes Energy technology to the third Countries through specialized educational actions.
1. Centres electronically connected with CIENE for the exchange of know-how on Energy Efficiency.
2. A pilot application in an eligible country.
3. Planning of seminarsfor dissemination of the collected information.
4. Educational packages in the appropriate languages.
5. A data base containing information on the Energy Efficiency status of third countries.
A consolidated institute and network ready to undertake action on Energy Efficiency in Third Countries.
The network will be coordinated, by CIENE in Athens, Greece. CIENE will be responsible for the coordination needs of the network and for the final formulation of educational packages regarding Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving as well as Energy Management in these countries. Steps to be taken:
1. Collection and evaluation of the information(data), on Energy Efficiency topics which will be accumulated within the developed network.
2. Translation of the collected information to educational packagedealing with Energy Efficiency and Energy Management appropriate for those countries.
3. Establishment of the necessary educationalliaise procedure.
4. Identification of the problem and the gaps in the know-how and translation of those gaps into training material.
5. Transfer of training material through the existing network to the countries involved.
6. Development of educational package which could be easily accessible, electronically, to the participating parties.
7. Creation of a data base of existing needs on Energy Saving.
8. Application of the gathered experience in a pilot educational experiment in one of the target countries.
9. Planning of seminars
10. Establishment of a more permanent structure which will permit a steady flow of information on Energy Efficiency through this network.
