Objective During the project work practical equipment and tools for the research preparation and realisation were developed, a first exemplary and two further simulation laboratories were installed at the project partners companies inclusive training of personnel. Furthermore the application and usefulness of the model material technique for steel forging parts with focal point die-lifetime and the application of the model material technique for non ferrous forging parts was worked out and the developed techniques could be used the first time on several tool systems of the project partners in order to solve specific problems. In addition the reconstruction of manual changed geometries in an existing CAD surface description was carried out on principle.
