Objective As concerns the production, the carding machine enables reaching the expected target (150 to 200 kg/h). The elimination of the cores is sufficient. The refining is satisfactory. However, the rate of breakage of the fibres remains too high and, due to this fact, the fibres are too short. The replacement of the stuffing which is in progress, should contribute to the improvement of the length of the fibres by limiting the breakage of the fibres. Thus, using certain adaptations made to the prototype, and with the development of an adequate precarding preparation, the objectives fixed should be attained in the near future.
