Objectif High strength and toughness levels make duplex stainless steel suitable for structural applications in the fields of civil engineering (buildings, bridges), offshore and transport. However, their mechanical behaviour has not been entirely assessed for structural applications and the aim of this project is to investigate their behaviour in unwelded and welded conditions through mechanical testing. Full scale testing will be performed on selected structures and components.
