Qualitative impact analysis of the LCP/IRP Case Study of the Stadtwerke Hannover AG

Ziel

The project is based upon the LCP/IRP Case Study Hanover and evaluates the impacts of the Case Study by social scientifically methods. It aims to evaluate the chances of implementation of the concept of Integrated Resource Planning (IRP).
By the impact analysis suitable conditions for use, optimisation and transfer of the IRP concept in and outside the company should be turned out. Results of the project are expected by the energy suppliers and the political decisionmakers.

In order to examine the adjustments of the actors and their organisations of IRP and the Case Study Hanover different persons and groups will be questioned by methods of social science:

1. The changes in the attitude of employees of the Stadtwerke Hannover caused by the Case Study will be surveyed.
2. One task of the survey is to evaluate the practical consequences of the usually positive commitment of the responsible control authorities of the land Lower Saxony.
3. Customers which have participated at the IRP-pilot-projects will be asked for their attitude concerning the IRP-activities of the Stadtwerke Hannover.
4. It will be evaluated, how similar energy suppliers value the Case Study and how they can support it.

The social scientifically results obtained by the impact analysis will positively influence the implementation of IRP in Germany.
