On-line multimedia technologies will enable passenger and freight transport connections at ports to offer maximum efficiency, safety and comfort. Ferry multimedia systems will provide passenger booking and tourist facilities, while satellite communications will assist the smooth operation of ships, trains and vehicles on all routes. Further information at ports on traffic matters like congestions and parking will be available from public kiosks and similar outlets.
