Objetivo The consequences of shell structure in alkali-clusters for binding energies, formation abundances and composite particle emission will be studied. The splitting and damping of the plasmon resonance and its relation to the cluster shape will be investigated. The dynamics of vibrations of liquid Na-clusters and possible excitation mechanisms will be investigated. Both the magnetic properties of alkali-clusters and the principles governing the shell structure and shape of mesoscopic Fermi-liquids will be studied.
