Objectif This project aims, first, to create a reliable basis for translating phenomenological texts into the Russian language based on developed criteria in order to increase a scientifically qualified broader reception of phenomenological philosophy in the NIS. Through these efforts the project aims, secondly, to nurture phenomenological philosophy in these countries to support the process of democratization from the side of the sciences. The project will begin by generating translations of important texts of Husserl and Heidegger into Russian and publishing them with a commentary. Further, it will develop normative concepts for the scientific certitude of these and future translations through explanation of the relevant philosophical problems. The results of the project will enrich research into phenomenological philosophy from the point of view of its field and system and is therefore of importance for questions connected with linguistics and translation as well for literary research.
