Objectif This project addresses the central question of cosmology and particle physics, namely why is there asymmetry between matter and antimatter in our Universe, assuming that it originated in a symmetrical state under the main influence of gravity? The question will be approached from three angles: from the cosmological angle, what are the cosmological constraints on baryon number generation (both in the case of the electro-weak transition and in the case of the asymmetrical decay of hypothetical heavy particles); from the high-temperature quantum mechanics angle, to raise the understanding of the behaviour of particles in a hot plasma, and their scattering/transmission by bubbles of true vacuum; and from the angle of particle physics constraints, what are the detailed experimental predictions of the various models and how they can be distinguished in future experiments? This assumes a detailed understanding of radiative corrections to the standard and to alternate models. In view of the large number of up-to-date techniques to be investigated and of the strong links with cosmology, particle physics and astrophysics, this research subject, apart from its importance for fundamental knowledge and for the understanding of our Universe, offers unique opportunities in the training of young physicists.
