The project consists of development, investigation and manufacture of a new satellite antenna ZODIAC. This will enable simultaneous positioning to receive signals from more than 30 geostationary satellites (more than 300 TV-channels) simultaneously within an angular sector of 120 degrees in a wide variety of frequency ranges. The antenna mirror will remain unmovable to receive signals from the group of satellites of the same frequency ranges using only one LNC (low noise converter) block.

The immobility of the apparatus coupled with multipositional reception of programs from different satellites will be made possible by a specific shape of mirror and special microwave unit with superhigh frequency switcher.

In comparison to rotary parabolic antennas, ZODIAC will offer enhanced reliability, increased speed and accuracy of directional control - in addition to low cost of serial production.
