Synthesis of optically active ruthenocene with chiral planes and their derivatives

Objetivo



The main steps of this project are to synthesize optically active ruthenocenes with chirality on the ring plane and to use them in the preparation of organometallic porphyrins through the following methodology: asymmetric functionalization of substituted ruthenocenes using internal chiral inductors; and enantiogeneration of planar chirality in 1-2 substituted ruthenocene derivatives using enzymatic reactions.

The finding of applications for these synthetized optically active compounds to asymmetric catalysis and non-linear optics will also be carried out.
