Objective The aim of the project is to develop an integrated package of mid-career teaching materials on solar energy and energy-efficiency in office buildings. The target audience will be the professions actively and immediately involved in the design and maintenance of buildings.The project will produce a pack of teaching materials - technical manuals, design guidelines, a catalogue of design and evaluation tools, together with audio-visual materials. The materials will be designed for use by the organisers and instructors of mid-career courses. The ultimate audience will be architects, services engineers, construction economists and building managers. The project aims to inject a significant renewable energies content into the training infrastructures which are regualrly used by these professionals in keeping up-to-date.
