Objective The project is designed to help disseminate specific and specialist environmental qualifications as an essential prerequisite for the implementation of European environmental directives. The aim is to adapt individual initial training modules of the German "Supply and Disposal Specialist - specialising in waste and sewage" job profile to the infrastructure of the partner countries as a basis for incorporating this profession into the training systems in Italy, Portugal and Sweden. An initial phase will involve making the necessary adjustments to modules already available from the FORCE pilot project, as well as training the instructors in the partner countries and involving them in revising course content and materials. In a second phase, the training modules developed will be tested with groups of participants at national level, followed by evaluation and revision in the third phase. These stages will form the starting point for planning further qualifying training programmes as well as for assessing the possibility of incorporating the job profile into the vocational training systems of the partner countries. As a result, a check-list will, amongst other things, be prepared on data acquisition relating to existing technical systems. This will be made available to regional and local authorities and companies to facilitate the collection of information on relevant questions concerning necessary technology as well as the qualifications of personnel. Existing and revised initial training modules and CVT training materials will be compiled in a manual which will also be made available to other regions and member states.ImpactThe project enables the development of a new job profile with specialist environmental qualifications, thus facilitating the implementation of environmental directives.Contract number : D/96/1/01087/PI/I.1.1.b/FPCDomaine : Continuing vocational trainingContents : Forecasting training needs New job profiles Training in environmental protectionProducts : Short training courses Group training with tutor Book, manual, guide Public : Unemployed Less-qualified Trainers, designers & managers of training programmes Programme(s) ET-LEONARDO DA VINCI 1 - Action programme for the implementation of a European Community vocational training policy Leonardo da Vinci, 1995-1999 Topic(s) I.1.1.b - Continuing vocational training arrangements Call for proposal Data not available Funding Scheme CSC - Cost-sharing contracts Coordinator BERUFSFORTBILDUNGSWERK, GEMEINNÜTZIGE BILDUNGSEINRICHTUNG DES DGB GMBH (BFW) EU contribution No data Address BEIM SATTELHOF 14 28309 Bremen Germany See on map Total cost No data
