Objectif

Criminally mentally disabled people are a sub-group of disabled people in a particularly difficult situation. They are not afforded the attention they merit. This means that there is no formal education for staff working with them. Experience is usually gained on a learning-by-doing basis.

The aim of this project is to develop teaching materials for staff working in this field. A survey will be made on the conditions of criminally mentally disabled people in each country. Materials will be produced on ways of working, methods of integration and rehabilitation. They will be based on real experience and use concrete cases. The teaching material will be designed to be adaptable to local situations in each EU country.

Impact
It is expected that this project will result in the up-grading of the skills of staff working in this area.
