Objetivo It is becoming increasingly evident that ensuring general good-quality care for nursery-school children requires effective management of professionals working in the area. The aim of this project is to define new professional profiles to help to create management positions with clearly defined functions. To achieve this objective, multiple trials have been conducted in various European towns and regions with the aim of developing management skills in assisting, supporting and promoting innovative action at local and regional level.Management progress will be analysed through regular self-evaluation, i.e. regular meetings will enable partners in local initiatives to jointly analyse their impact of the project on the educational practices of professionals under supervision and at the level of co-operation between different parties, i.e. managers, political and administrative decision-makers, childcare professionals. In certain circumstances, research could involve interviews with public authorities responsible for pre-school childcare.
