Objectif Located at the interface of business and culture as well as traditional know-how and innovation, art and antique-restoration occupations are becoming of increasing interest to young people, who recognise that such jobs are multi-faceted and represent a considerable source of employment. To take two examples, a Parisian furniture skills school (upholstery, gilding) is training 600 young people, of whom 95% already have jobs; 17 antique book restorers in Italy have full order books up to the year 2010. It has been observed, however, that this financially rewarding sector has no European training guide to provide young people with career information and facilitate a network of contacts between training schools. The aim of this project is to design a European directory of art and antique-restoration schools for publication in French and English with the help of three European partners. This directory will subsequently be available in CD-Rom and Internet-database form.ImpactPromotion and dynamisation of an important source of employment (i.e. art and antique-restoration) by distributing in-depth information on training within the EU.Contract number : F/96/1/05121/PI/I.1.1.c/CONTDomaine : Life long learningContents : On and off-the-job training in sec. education On and off-the-job training in higher education Products : Informations/ ressources database Other training method Computer/electronic-based materials Public : Young people in training Representatives of sectoral organisations Trainers, designers & managers of training programmes Programme(s) ET-LEONARDO DA VINCI 1 - Action programme for the implementation of a European Community vocational training policy Leonardo da Vinci, 1995-1999 Thème(s) I.1.1.c - Vocational information and guidance Appel à propositions Data not available Régime de financement CSC - Cost-sharing contracts Coordinateur SEMA Contribution de l’UE Aucune donnée Adresse 20 Rue DE LA BOÉTIE 75008 Paris France Voir sur la carte Coût total Aucune donnée
