Ceramics: professional cultures and innovative training methods

Ziel

Diversification of ceramics techniques and associated developments in job profiles necessitate ongoing adaptation of vocational training content. This project will help French ceramics instructors observe the methods and professional practices of their Portuguese colleagues, thus enabling the former to incorporate innovation into their training programme and make alternating training more effective.

The partners will cross-fertilise, compare and exchange views on vocational training methods, the role of industry in training, professional and educational practices, as well as benchmark job profiles and qualification standards. The results of this co-operation will be integrated into future training programmes and disseminated through meetings, articles and training courses aimed at trainers and tutors. This project will also bring Portuguese instructors to France for similar objectives, organise youth placements and carry out work on a larger-scale pilot programme.

Impact
This project will help promote innovative training practices and bring together different professional cultures in the ceramics sector. It will also facilitate the use of new ceramics techniques by training organisations and professionals.
