Objectif The aim of the "virtual factory" project is to train company managers and students in the network economy, where every part of a network does those things which it can do best. It is essential that every worker has a good overview of all the functions of the factory. By simulating dataflows within the factory, the programme developed by the project will help the user fulfil all functions of the company in a safe environment. The programme will draw on software and training material from sales, production and storage departments, as well as from subcontractors. It will be applicable in initial education, short courses and continuing education. The "virtual factory" will be delivered as a CD-Rom or on the Internet. ImpactThe project will provide students with a more realistic view of the real world by giving them a chance to practice all of the operations they might have to carry out in a factory. It will also give companies the possibility to develop courses to help their employees understand better the effects of their work on others within the company. The product itself will constitute a contribution to the development of lifelong learning.Contract number : FIN/96/1/03041/PI/I.1.1.a/CONTDomaine : Life long learningContents : Industrial change Transition of young people to work Relationship training - work organisationProducts : Short training courses Distance training Computer/electronic-based materials Public : Young people in training Managers/ Owners of SMES Unemployed Programme(s) ET-LEONARDO DA VINCI 1 - Action programme for the implementation of a European Community vocational training policy Leonardo da Vinci, 1995-1999 Thème(s) I.1.1.a - Initial vocational training Appel à propositions Data not available Régime de financement CSC - Cost-sharing contracts Coordinateur POHJOIS-SAVO POLYTECHNIC, SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING, VARKAUS, (WAIT) Contribution de l’UE Aucune donnée Adresse OSMAJOENTIE 75B 78210 Varkaus Finlande Voir sur la carte Coût total Aucune donnée
