Global Access to Professional funds

Cel

The objective of the GAP project is to understand the difference between accessing capital in the EU and USA, to reduce the wasted effort that many SME's expend trying to find investment by improving the quality of investment opportunities offered by the VC and business angel investors and to understand the special needs of the eContent market by training a selected specialist set of EU advisors .
Global Access to Professional funds addresses the need to rank and assess the SMEs with regards to their strengths and weaknesses and to learn what the standards are in the USA to accessing capital and apply them to the EU market to a small selection of advisors and companies. It will develop the possibilities of having 5 SMEs advised by White & Case (a major USA law firm specialised in IPO launches) and add their input to the case studies. GAP will also present one SME in the USA to 4 VC companies and obtain feedback.
The results and the case studies will be available on the Web, to make the training course a GAP recognised standard and to have a dissemination event and distribute the findings to the EU via the Innovation Relay Centres.
